As well as transactional work, he has also carried out a number of strategy and price studies for gas industry clients. These include the preparation of a detailed analysis of future trends in European Gas Markets for a major German gas importer and a series of studies on individual European markets for both a Japanese LNG trader and a major European gas producer.

Niall is a regular conference speaker on UK and European market developments and is author of ECC's yearly publication The UK Gas Market Review - a detailed forecast of gas supply/demand and price trends, which has been featured extensively in the media.

His lengthy involvement in the gas business started at British Gas, where he spent five years working on gas purchase contracts.
