Lynn Nahmani is a Senior Advisor with more than 25 years of experience in the financial sector and significant experience in project financing and debt advisory. Her expertise covers a wide range of structured debt including LBO and Acquisition Finance, Asset Based and Receivables Financing as well as Leasing and Tax driven transactions. She is particularly skilled in structuring and arranging complex financings and shepherding the process of raising debt for companies in the energy sector.
Prior to joining The Energy Contract Company she was Senior Corporate Finance Advisor for First Calgary Petroleums, a Canadian upstream oil and gas company, where she was responsible for raising over US $ 1.1 billion of project debt for the development and exploitation of its gas reserves in Algeria as well as establishing the company’s interest rate and gas price risk hedging strategy.
Lynn has held positions with several major international financial institutions where she created and managed the French structured finance groups responsible for deal making and structuring. She also possesses considerable management experience and is a high-level negotiator particularly adept in cross-cultural situations. Her appointments include:
- Regional Manager, Middle East and Africa for Banque de Paris et des Pays Bas where she was responsible for structuring and managing Export Buyers’ Credits
- Senior Vice President, Director of Structured Finance Business Development for Europe at CCF-Charterhouse where she defined and implemented the European strategy for expanding the bank’s cross-border leasing and other tax business
- Director of Structured and Corporate Finance Business Development for Credit Suisse First Boston in France where she successfully completed the advisory mandate for the debt restructuring of the city of Aubagne as well as several asset-backed transactions including the major infrastructure project financing for the Stade de France
- Director of Project Finance for Crédit Agricole where she created the new project finance group taking part in the initial group of MLAs to finance the Eurotunnel project as well as the Euro Disney project financing.
Lynn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens Colleges, City University of NY and an MBA from the Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires, INSEAD - Fontainbleau, France. She is a fluent French speaker.
