Greg Miles is an associate consultant at The Energy Contract Company and has over 30 years experience in the energy sector, specifically in the trading and marketing of LPG and crude oil. Recent consulting assignments include:
- Working with Australian Worldwide Exploration (AWE) on the marketing of the Tui field joint ventures crude oil production in New Zealand.
- Advising Nido Petroleum on the offtake and marketing arrangements for their new crude oil development in the Philippines.
- Advice to BG Tunisia on the negotiation and structure of the transportation, marketing and offtake agreements for Hasdrubal LPG.
- Responsible for the marketing of US$1.5 billion/yr of liquids (LPG, crude oil and naphtha) for Santos Ltd, Australia.
- Negotiated agreements and implemented management systems for innovative US$50 million/yr LPG supply agreement for the Elgas Propane Cavern, Sydney, Australia.
- Advised several energy majors on LPG marketing, GTL & LNG opportunities, supply/demand modelling and alternative pricing strategies.
Prior to his current consulting assignments, Greg was employed by BHP Billiton in senior LPG and crude oil trading, marketing and risk management roles. He has extensive experience in the marketing of LPG and crude oil in Australia, Asia, Africa, New Zealand and the USA.
Greg current professional interests include the development of marketing strategies for new liquids projects, negotiation of offtake, joint venture and marketing agreements plus the management and optimization of supply and trading teams.
