    Bill Bloking is the Energy Contract Company Director for Australia and Asia, based in Perth Australia. He has over thirty years of experience in the energy sector with both ExxonMobil and BHP Billiton, and more than 20 years of senior executive experience in gas and LNG marketing, contracting and new business development throughout Europe, North Asia, South America, and Southeast Asia. Bll has global experience at the highest level, including:

    • President, Australia/Asia Gas for BHP Billiton Petroleum until joining ECC earlier this year. Bill had overall strategic, commercial, and bottom line accountability for BHP Billiton's international LNG business and its domestic gas business in Australia. This included the North West Shelf, Bass Strait, Pilbara LNG and the Browse LNG Projects, and Bill has built an extensive network of industry and government contacts at the senior-most levels throughout Australia and Asia. He was also the North West Shelf Venture's senior spokesperson in Japan and China.
    • Vice President responsible for managing BHP's interests in the North West Shelf Venture.
    • Elected by the Venture participants to be Chairman of The North West Shelf Venture Project Committee, the North West Shelf Shipping Services Company, the Australian LNG Ship Operating Company, and the North West Shelf Liaison Company (Japan Director of North West Shelf Australia LNG, one of the world's most successful LNG marketing companies, and North West Shelf Gas - the NWS Venture's domestic gas marketing agency.

    Before joining BHP Billiton, Bill held a variety of roles with ExxonMobil, including Chief Operating Officer of Esso Eastern Products Trading Company, Gas Marketing Manager for Esso Australia, and General Manager of Natural Gas for Esso Indonesia, in which he lead multi-disciplinary global teams and concluded many successful negotiations and joint ventures.

    Bill is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is currently the Chairman of Norwest Energy, Asia Biofuels, and Cullen Wines (Australia). He is also a Vice Chairman of the Australia China Business Council, a Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia, a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Western Australia's Confucius Center, and an Adjunct Professor at Murdoch University. Until leaving BHP Billiton, he was also a director of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association and the Chairman of their External Affairs and Strategy Committee. In addition, he was a director of the Victorian Energy Networks Corporation, a member of the Australian Ministerial Council for Energy's Gas Market Leaders Group, and a member of the Business Advisory Board to the University of Western Australia's Oil and Gas Center.
