About Us
The Energy Contract Company is a global energy consulting firm dedicated to providing clients with the commercial expertise necessary to meet the challenges of working in the oil, gas and electricity industries, particularly in an environment of deregulated energy. The company was created in 1988 to service the developing needs of the liberalised energy industry world-wide. It is now one of the leading independent commercial advisers in this field, with four Partners, eight Associate Consultants and over one hundred clients on four continents.
ECC specialises in identifying and negotiating optimum contracting philosophies for the sale & purchase, transportation and processing of energy products. Our principal business is transactional consultancy, and we provide our commercial services throughout the world. On behalf of our clients, we lead the negotiation of transactions in these areas and complete the necessary contracts. We also review and comment on draft agreements, prepare draft contracts and train commercial staff in contract negotiation.
ECC is able to provide a broad range of commercial expertise to assist and support the commercialisation of upstream hydrocarbon assets and to realise optimal value. ECC will meet the challenge of delivering the key commercial agreements (financing, JOA and sale & purchase) on behalf of clients (partners and investors) to underpin and secure the successful sanction and start-up of a project
By combining energy contracting expertise and an exceptional, in-depth knowledge of the world-wide market, ECC is uniquely positioned to help clients exploit opportunities in the oil, gas and electricity industry. We provide our clients with the most capable and up-to-date commercial skills in driving energy projects to financial closure. These have included projects in: gas-fired power generation; LNG liquefaction and regasification; oil and gas pipeline transportation; the sale or purchase of natural gas (incl. LNG), LPG and electricity; storage of natural gas; processing of oil and gas (and NGLs); etc.
When disputes occur within existing contracts for the sale or purchase of energy products, ECC can also act as an Expert Witness or assist clients to present their case to arbitrators or to the courts.
