Andrew Fisher

Andrew is a Senior Associate with The Energy Contract Company.  He brings with him over 25 years’ experience in the energy industry and a successful international track record of commercial leadership, value creation, business development and delivery in challenging business environments with BP, British-Borneo, BHP Billiton and Tullow Oil.

He has led the commercialization of several world-class oil and gas fields, including giant oil field FPSO development, networked gas and gas-to-power projects in Africa and South Asia, and has a particular strength in delivering innovative solutions to commercial and technical challenges in oil and gas field commercialization and development.

With Tullow Oil, Andrew was Business Manager for the Gulf of Guinea in West Africa, and led the operator organisation responsible for delivering the Jubilee oil field in Ghana, as well as Commercial Manager for the Sub-Saharan Africa region.

Andrew was responsible, as General Manager, for BHP Billiton’s oil and gas business in Pakistan and Namibia/South Africa, as well as commercial management and business development in the UK, Russia, the Middle East and South Asia.

With a degree in Geophysics and formal training as a Petroleum/Reservoir Engineer, during his career Andrew has developed a deep understanding of interdisciplinary interfaces and integration with upstream commercial value drivers.

Andrew has well-developed commercial skills, including project economic evaluation and negotiation of key commercial agreements, across the full value-chain of exploration, appraisal, development, production operations and downstream energy market.  He has strong analytical, modelling and strategic skills, excellent presentation and communication skills, and is a proven skilled negotiator and relationship-builder.
